This Bacon Storage Hack Is the Ultimate Way to Combat Awkward Bacon Packaging

If you’re a true fan of bacon, then you know that the only thing a tad bit bothersome about it is simply getting it out of the packaging! Traditionally, most bacon is sold in airtight packages in slightly overlapped layers that you have to cut into.

When you handle the bacon with your hands (especially thin bacon), it can be a little messy and awkward to constantly pull each strip one by one every time you want some for breakfast! Not to mention, the plastic of the packaging itself is sometimes difficult to open and close securely.

Thankfully, however, this TikTok video below introduced a potentially great way to meal prep your bacon without having to deal with the awkward packaging. In the video below, TikTok user ceddies_kitchen shows the hack at hand: Lay each strip of bacon one by one on a long sheet of parchment paper. Slowly roll the bacon-covered parchment paper from the bottom to the top. Then use scissors or kitchen shears to cut out each individual bacon “roll-up” and place them in a freezer-safe bag.

With this hack, you have each individual strip of bacon portioned out and you can use them as needed, without having to deal with the clunky packaging. Plus, this is a smart method to use if you buy bacon in bulk and need to freeze it, but don’t want to have to wait for the bacon to completely thaw before using it.
